Guns N' Roses – Use Your Illusion II (2xLP)

The 1991 album Use Your Illusion II, which debuted at # 1 in the States (it also reached the top spot in the UK), knocking its companion album Use Your Illusion I off the top spot, is considered by many to be the (slightly ) more common album of the two. Fans had gotten a taste of the record when the lead single "You Could Be Mine" was used on the soundtrack to the film Terminator 2: Judgment Day. The 14 tracks include a cover of Bob Dylan's "Knocking On Heaven's Door", "Get In the Ring", a rant against what the band saw as their enemies and critics, and an alternate version of "Don't Cry". It was described by Kerrang! Magazine as "balladic, bluesy, experimental and laced with genius", and according to the UK's Melody Maker, "it rocks like a mutha!"
