Jeff Parker ETA IVtet – Happy Today

"Happy Today" is the third album by guitarist and bandleader Jeff Parker and his long-standing project ETA IVtet. It was recorded live at the Lodge Room in Los Angeles on August 20, 2025.

This new entry in the IVtet catalog captures the instantly recognizable group sound of Parker and the band - including drummer Jay Bellerose, bassist Anna Butterss and saxophonist Josh Johnson - for the first time outside of the now-closed Highland Park micro-club ETA.

"Happy Today" showcases that very sound - IVtet's signature syntax of extended, minimalist improvisations - in a larger space, while continuing to have a hypnotic and profound effect on audiences. The album includes two longer pieces recorded during a concert at the Lodge Room in front of an attentive audience of around 400.
